About The Author
Growing up, Maher lived in a one-bedroom apartment with his four siblings in Brooklyn, New York. At an incredibly young age, Maher struggled to learn in school and was labeled as incompetent. He was constantly bullied and therefore lacked motivation and self-confidence. At the age of nine it was discovered he was dyslexic. Recognizing he was not what everyone branded him to be, he decided to push himself to improve his grades. In the eighth grade, he spotted an opportunity to try out for the school’s basketball team. Determined to play basketball, he actively worked to develop his grades and improve his basketball skills, which resulted in him earning a spot on the team.

I have practiced and worked on many different training methods, but none as complete and invigorating as the ones in this book. I am always looking for some type of competitive edge and this book gives you exactly that. It simplifies and details many aspects of improving your life and your game. I have implemented the muscle activation exercises, injury prevention and diet plan guideline to my daily routine with seeing gains on my vertical (Chapter 16). I’m amazed at how quickly I’m seeing results. This book is a MUST BUY! I highly recommend as it has everything you need to take your game to the next level and strengthen your skill set.

I shot the gun on this buy because it was very intriguing, and because of the feedback this book received. I’m a shorter point guard, looking for any opportunity to score against my defender and the help. Once I started to follow and mimic the techniques from the mechanics section, I was finally scoring easily against the bigs in the paint. There were so many subtle details that I needed to improve and once I did, it worked! This book contains it all; from self-evaluation scales for players to real in-game references that are applicable to every day life as well as basketball. This is a step by step guide on how to get better at the sport, with comprehensive diagrams and routines. Several of my friends would even ask me about what I did to improve the speed of attacks and my mechanics and I haven’t told. I think I’m going to keep this my secret for some time LOL! This book single handled influenced my game on a whole other level.

I am a competitive person. I am also an amputee AND a Veteran. I play basketball with one leg and am constantly looking foe ways to improve myself so I can keep up with my 2-legged counterparts. This book has a wealth of information from helping with your diet to becoming faster and stronger. If Baaketball IQ, strength, speed, and overall being a better player is your goal, then this is the book you want!

My son showed some interest into the sport of basketball and so I purchased this book for him. My son has begun to read the book and that is exciting for me. I appreciate how well thought out and structured the book is. My son loves how easy it is to read the book so far. I felt compelled to write a review because this book has started to pull my kid into the world of basketball. I don’t know if he’ll become seriously committed. However, this book does a great job of planting the seed and I am seriously appreciative of that.

The book gives you a real life look at basketball mechanics to the very smallest detail. As a basketball player it helped me with correcting my shooting form and now I'm light out 😈😈😈. This book is one of my favorite books on Basketball training! It breaks down all the small details mostly for athletes and some gives insight for coaches who are searching to improve their skills and players game. This book has detail that has helped me understand what additional steps I can take to recover from my terrible knee injury. Finally it allows me to provide new methods to explain to my players which they havent heard before - on how to gain an edge in the weight room and on the court how to improve their skills such as speed, balance, footwork, body movement, body control and vertical jump.I strongly recommend this to all those athletes and coaches who are looking to improve!
